Description
Cipla makes the anti-estrogenic drug Fempro. Letrozole, a drug from the drug class known as aromatase inhibitors, is the drug that serves as the oral product’s active ingredient (AIs). By preventing the enzyme aromatase from doing its job, the drugs in this category lower the body’s estrogen levels. This feature makes it useful for treating breast cancer in women by lowering their estrogen levels. Additionally, it can be applied to men who take aromatizable steroids to lower their excessive estrogen levels.
Benefits of taking Letrozole
Letrozole has a half-life of roughly 2-4 days and is one of the most powerful AIs. It has become the second most common AI in bodybuilding. The drug prevents the aromatase enzyme from turning androgens (such as testosterone) into estrogen in males who use androgenic drugs. This reduces the risk of feminization effects in men, such as gynecomastia, acne, fluid retention, and other estrogen-related side effects.
How to take Letrozole
Letrozole is produced by Cipla as 2.5 mg pills. It is advised to begin by taking half a tablet of letrozole (1.25mg) daily at first. Then, you can evaluate your estrogen levels and tolerance. The daily intake can be raised to 1 tablet if this dosage is insufficient (2.5mg). If the first dose is too excessive, you can increase it by taking a half-tablet every two days or even four days.
It should be noted that Letrozole is taken to control estrogen levels and not completely diminish them.
Letrozole side effects
The drug’s adverse effects will be minor if taken as prescribed. Headaches, lethargy, nausea, peripheral edema, hot flushes, thinning hair, or a mild to moderate rash are a few potential adverse effects.
