Androstatriendione and Prohormones – Steroids

Description

Androstatriendione, 17-dione (ATD, androsta-1,4,6-triene-3,17-dione) is a potent irreversible and aromatase inhibitor that blocks the biosynthesis of estrogen by constantly binding and deactivating aromatase in adipose and Peripheral tissue. It is used to control the synthesis of estrogen.

ATD was present in some over the counter bodybuilding supplements as well as topical ATD solutions that work transdermally. While not prohibited, the ATD can cause positive results of urinalysis leading to disqualification from competitive sports. ATD has many names in sports supplements including: 1,4,6 etiollochan-dione, 3, keto-etiochol-triene 17, androst-1,4,6-triene-3,17-dione and many others.

ATD can cause a positive test for an anabolic steroid boldenone, which is a metabolite and is also prohibited in amateur and professional sports that inhibits aromatase inhibitors.
A related agent is the exemestane (Aromasin).

Application of androstatriendione

ATD blocks the biosynthesis of estrogen by binding and deactivating the aromatase enzyme. Also, it naturally increases testosterone levels by lowering its conversion to estrogen. Higher testosterone levels typically mean increased strength, muscle, and a decrease in body fat.

Bodybuilders and athletes will use ATD on a cycle to help permanently disrupt the enzyme from an aromatase. This should prevent side effects attributed to estrogen like gynecomastia (tits bitches), excessive water retention, high blood pressure, and insomnia.

Another advantage of ATD is that it has 90% androgen activity in muscle tissue with an activity with only 10% androgen in the near-shore. Therefore, you should theoretically keep more muscle when using it. In addition, the ATD blocks the Isocaloric Handbook negative androgen nutrition back by a loop, which will reduce the production of estrogen while increasing the production of testosterone.

Androstatriendione side effects

Studies have shown that ATD can block sexual libido and sexual power, which can be attributed to its effects on lowering estrogen. Also the chance of a cold splice every time the ATD (and aromatase inhibitor) is used, so it is important not to abuse this mixture.
