Description
Premarin is an estrogen medication containing conjugated estrogens which is created by Pfizer. The drug is prescribed by doctors in the US (sometimes in addition to methyltestosterone) in menopausal hormone therapy and for various other indications such as osteoporosis, hypogonadism and cancer of the breasts or prostate.
Benefits of taking Premarin
Premarin is a female hormone which is present in both males and females. Hypogonadism (which is a potential side effect of improper steroid use) can cause men to have either low estrogen levels or high estrogen levels, but both of these can cause similar symptoms in the male body. Therefore, if steroid use causes men to have low estrogen levels, Premarin can be used as a form of hormone replacement therapy.
How to take Premarin
Premarin pills should be taken by mouth with or without food. To avoid stomach distress, you can take it with food or shortly after a meal.
Do not chew, crush, or dissolve the extended-release pills if you are taking them. By doing so, the drug may be released in its full at once, raising the chance of negative effects.
